The Effects of Task-Induced Involvement Load on Incidental Second Language Vocabulary Acquisition through Reading

This dissertation intends to examine the effects of task-induced involvement load on L2 incidental vocabulary acquisition through reading. Task-induced is operationalized manipulating components need, search and evaluation show relevance acquisition. It will intend do this by using three major variables: load, initial learning medium-term retention. The chapter starts providing reasons for why reading has been focus study. then continues summarizing how existing literature helped shape Involvement Load Hypothesis in current Finally, a general overview structure be given last section.
